WELCOME FAMILY AND FRIENDS
Hello family and friends! Welcome to our family web pages. Today is December 21, 2008 and after spending the evening with family I came home inspired to do something about the ideas that have been brewing in my head for years now. Remember the Family News Letters? Well that was a lot of work the old fashioned way. This too will be hard work but it will serve to keep us connected. I hope to be able to committ the time and dedication to the pages by creating, writing, posting pictures, providing links, email addresses, family events etc. I plan to have it up and available for viewing by February 1, 2009. Fast-forward so if I could handle the job today is February 1 or after! Yippee I did it! So here we go family, enjoy!

Grant-Hampton Family Picnic 2009

Dear Family,
I have so enjoyed our yearly gatherings that I am compelled to give it another go this year. Problem is we need money to have a nice picnic and I have an idea how to generate that money.
So here’s my proposal. We will sell raffle tickets from January 2009 to June 2009. These tickets will sell for $1 each. If enough of us participate we can give away $100 from the proceeds and the rest can be used to provide food, drink, games, etc. for the picnic. So I am asking each of you to take on the task of selling 20 tickets.
The tickets will be available starting January 3, 2009. Please call me at one of the numbers listed below and I will personally deliver your tickets to you.
They should be easy to sell. You just tell the potential buyer that we are raising money for this years picnic and if their ticket number is drawn they will win $100. They don’t have to be at the picnic to win. We will call the winners.
1st prize: $100; 2nd prize: one book bag w/school supplies, 3rd prize: one 4x6 framed photograph
So if ticket sales go as expected we will have a wonderful time together at this year’s picnic.
Also t-shirts will be available for individual purchase this year. More information on this will be made available soon.
